Free Resources for Domestic Staffing Recruiters
I created Estate Management Systems, a digital house manual and day-to-day operations system, to save my sanity.
As a former estate manager for some of the wealthiest families in the world, I wished I had been given more than an incomplete spreadsheet of sub-contractors’ names when I first started these new roles. Something to organize the massive amounts of information related to every aspect of overseeing 5 luxury properties — from London to Los Angeles — along with 4 full-time staff and over 80 sub-contractors. Anything would have saved me months of frustration in collecting household and contractor data, and mechanical maintenance records. However, all I had ever heard was “Complete our house manual!”
Honestly, back then I was struggling to meet the day-to-day demands. I NEVER had control over my own schedule, and I found no practical use for the often outdated house manual information. What I needed was a way to communicate with my staff regarding maintenance punch lists and deadlines, as well as a method to track their accountability and stuck projects.

This experience compelled me to launch Estate Management Systems (EMS). Which, quite possibly, may help save their sanity, too.
But, it was while marketing my new business to estate managers that I received the most surprising news….
I started hearing from domestic staff recruiters who were sharing success stories about their candidates who received immediate job offers when they shared their household management system with their interviewer — my EMS system on their iPad!
I was thrilled!
